The practice has been serving the Elspark community since 1979. Our aim is to provide quality, affordable healthcare to both private and medical aid patients with dignity, integrity and compassion. Dr Megan Timm’s practice aims to be a family-driven and holistic practice that provides quality family medicine for patients. About Dr Megan Timm
Dr Megan Timm grew up in Durban and moved to Johannesburg to attend The University of Witwatersrand and study medicine. She graduated in 2010, completed her internship at Tembisa Hospital, and her community service at Hillbrow Community Health Clinic was finalised in 2013. Megan stayed on at Hillbrow until she joined the practice in Elspark, where she now enjoys helping patients care for their health. Family is very important to her, and quality family time with her husband, two young sons and friends is key to her quality of life.

About Dr Chris Cheyne
Dr Douglas Christian (Chris) Cheyne started studying medicine in 2012 at the University of Pretoria and obtained his Bachelor’s of Medicine and Surgery in early 2018. From there he interned at the Pietermaritzburg Complex in KZN notably serving time in Grey’s Hospitals’ renal unit as well as Edendale Hospitals’ burns unit. From there he was placed in Leratong Hospital where he worked as a casualty officer from 2020 to 2021. He left to pursue work in the private sector as being a family doctor had always been a passion of his. He joined Dr Timm at the beginning of 2022 where he has been happily working full time since. He enjoys working with children, tackling more complex medical cases as well as leveraging his trauma experience treating a variety injuries. He takes great strides to ensure that patients leave here with an understanding of their disease; his goal being to empower them with knowledge to take a hands-on approach to their health.
